Gator freshman Trinity Thomas earned her third consecutive spot on the U.S. Senior National Team last evening at the U.S. Championships

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Last evening, Gator freshman Trinity Thomas earned her third consecutive spot on the U.S. Senior National team with her performance at the U.S. Gymnastics Championships.

Today, Thomas is one of five gymnasts named to the U.S. Team for the 2018 Senior Pan American Championships, set for Sept 14-16 in Lima, Peru.

Trinity Thomas, York, Pa.

Alternate: Alyona Shchennikova, Evergreen, Colo.

Last evening in Boston, Thomas took eighth in the U.S. Championships' all-around. The Pan Am Championship will be Thomas' fourth international assignment. In her last international event, Thomas was the all-around runner-up at the 2018 Tokyo World Cup in April.

Thomas is part of a six-member freshmen class who will make their collegiate debuts for the Gators in the 2019 season.
