GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida and Tennessee renew their rivalry on Saturday at Neyland Stadium, the Gators' first road game under head coach Dan Mullen.
Mullen faced the Vols just once in his nine seasons at Mississippi State, leading to Bulldogs to a 41-31 home win in 2012. Tennessee has won back-to-back games after losing their opener to West Virginia in the debut of head coach Jeremy Pruitt.
This marks the first time the two SEC East rivals have faced each other with first-year coaches since 1970. The Gators are coming off a 48-10 win over Colorado State on Saturday; Tennessee shut out UTEP at home, 24-0.
The Gators have dominated the series, winning 21 of 26 over the Vols since the league split into divisions in 1992. However, in their last trip to Knoxville, the Gators had their 11-game win streak snapped against the Vols.
