GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Next week the University of Florida softball program will host a meeting for anyone interested in trying out for the 2018-19 squad.
Interested full-time enrolled University of Florida students are required to attend a 2:15 p.m. meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 11 in the softball operations building located at the Southwest Recreation Softball Field Complex. For more information contact Adam DeRusha at AdamD@gators.ufl.edu.
UF won the program's eighth SEC Championship last season by going 20-4 in league play and secured the program's fourth overall SEC Tournament Championship. In addition, Florida picked up the No. 2 National Seed in the 2016 NCAA Tournament, UF's 10th-straight top-five national seed.
Overall, UF finished 2018 with a 56-11 overall record and logged its 10th 50-win season in program history.
