Gators Rank No. 6 in D1Baseball Preseason Poll

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The University of Florida baseball team is ranked No. 6 in D1Baseball's NCAA Division I Preseason Poll released on Monday.
Previously, the Gators were ranked No. 6 by Collegiate Baseball and No. 9 by Perfect Game in other preseason polls.
D1Baseball.com began rankings prior to the 2015 season and the Gators have ranked in the top six each year during the preseason (2018-No. 1; 2017-No. 2; 2016-No. 1; 2015-No. 2).
Florida joins eight other Southeastern Conference programs in the poll, including six teams in the top 15. The SEC East figures to be among the nation's best divisions with three teams ranked in the top 10 (Vanderbilt - 1, Florida - 6, Georgia - 9).
Six of the Gators 2019 opponents are ranked in D1Baseball's preseason poll, all in the Top 15: at No. 1 Vanderbilt (3/21-23), at No. 2 LSU (4/18-20), at No. 9 Georgia (5/3-5), at No. 10 Ole Miss (4/5-7), vs. No. 13 Florida State (3/12, 3/26, 4/9) and vs. No. 14 Mississippi State (3/15-17).
The Gators open the 2019 season Feb. 15 against Long Beach State at McKethan Stadium. Season tickets and Flex Passes for the 2019 Gator Baseball season are on sale now and can be purchased online through FloridaGators.com or by calling the Gator Ticket Office at 1-800-34-GATOR from 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
