Women’s tennis travels to Las Vegas to take on some of the nation’s best talent in elite individual tournament
LAS VEGAS – The University of Florida women's tennis team kicks off its 2018-19 spring slate this weekend, Jan. 18-20, when it travels to Las Vegas to compete in the 17th annual Freeman Memorial Women's Tennis Championships at the Fertitta Tennis Complex on the campus of UNLV.
The Gator entries are set to square off against competitors from some of the best programs across the nation including five teams that were ranked within the top 10 of the Oracle/ITA Division I Preseason Rankings.
Florida will travel seven players out west to take part in the three-day singles and doubles event.
The field is comprised of No. 1 Stanford, No. 3 North Carolina, No. 6 Texas, No. 7 Pepperdine, No. 8 UCLA, host UNLV and No. 11 Florida.
2019 marks Florida's fourth-straight appearance in the tournament.
