Trinity Thomas is the SEC Gymnast of the Week and Megan Skaggs claims SEC Specialist of the Week.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Another Gator duo picked up Southeastern Conference weekly gymnastics awards, the league office announced this morning.
After two consecutive weeks as the SEC Freshman of the Week, Trinity Thomas takes the SEC Gymnast of the Week award. Sophomore Megan Skaggs is the SEC Specialist Gymnast of the Week.

February collegiate action kicks off with the nation's top dual so far of 2019 – No. 2 Florida at No. 1 Oklahoma.
Florida travels to Norman, Okla., to face the Sooners on Friday, Feb. 1 in the Lloyd Noble Center. The meet airs live at 8 p.m. ET on FOX College Sports (Gainesville/Ocala Cox cable channel 273).

- Won four events versus Kentucky. Claimed three titles outright – all-around (39.70), bars (9.975) and beam (9.925). Shared floor win at 9.925
- 39.70 was the nation's top all-around total of last weekend and shares second overall for 2019
- Fifth Gator freshman to post a nearly-perfect 9.975 uneven bars mark
- Leads Florida in 2019 with six event titles.
- First in Jan. 28 national bars rankings (9.95 average). T5th on floor (9.925 average) 4th for all-around (39.608 average), 9th for beam (9.892 average)
Skaggs' Performance:
- Second in uneven bars versus Kentucky at 9.95. It was second time this season Skaggs raised her collegiate bars best (opened season with a 9.925 versus Missouri)
- Tied for fourth among nation's bars performers (9.925 average)
- Led off every Florida beam lineup – currently ranked No. T22 for beam (9.867 average). Posted beams marks of 9.85 or better in every meet, including 9.875 versus Missouri and again versus Kentucky
