Trio of Gators Selected to USA Softball Player of the Year Watch List

OKLAHOMA CITY – Amanda Lorenz, Kelly Barnhill and Kendyl Lindaman were named to the 2019 USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year Watch List Wednesday afternoon by USA Softball.
"What a tremendous honor for Amanda, Kelly and Kendyl for being named to this year's Top 50 Watch List." Head Coach Tim Walton said. "The USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year award is one of the most prestigious awards in our sport and to be nominated is an accomplishment in itself."
Barnhill, the 2017 USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year, and Lorenz were also top four finalists for last year's USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year and the Collegiate Women in Sports Award (CWSA) presented by Honda.
Lindaman is also no stranger to the list as she was selected to the 2018 USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year Top 50 Watch List.

Florida begins its' 2019 campaign at the USF Opening Weekend Invitational in Tampa against Illinois State (Feb. 8) at 4:45 p.m. with the first SEC series slated against Tennessee (March 8-10).
The Gators are also set to host conference opponents Arkansas (April 5-7), Alabama (April 19-20) and Mississippi State (May 3-5) in 2019.
The first home contest in the newly renovated Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium is an exhibition set for Tuesday, Feb. 12, at 6 p.m. against Team Japan.
