GAINESVILLE, Fla.— No. 9 Florida unveiled their depth chart on Monday ahead of their week eight road contest against the South Carolina Gamecocks.
At his weekly press conference on Monday, head coach Dan Mullen was quoted as saying that defensive ends Jonathan Greenard and Jabari Zuniga will both be game-time decisions for the SEC East contest on Saturday afternoon.
Greenard, leading the team in sacks and tackles for loss, started against LSU before leaving the game due to injury.
Zuniga has been battling injuries over the past few weeks, but was able to take some snaps on Saturday night before also leaving the game in Baton Rouge.
The Gators lead the all-time series with the Gamecocks 27-9-3, including winning three of the last four previous meetings. Florida's only loss during the span was in 2017 when South Carolina posted a 28-20 win over the Gators.
UF will head into the noon kickoff looking for their first win at Williams-Brice Stadium since their 24-14 win in 2015.
In their first loss of the year last week, Kyle Trask posted just the fourth 300-yard passing game by a Gator since 2010 and threw a career-high three touchdowns. In the second quarter, Emory Jones threw his second touchdown pass of the season.
The offense continues to get contributions from multiple individuals all across the field as 15 different Gators have scored either a rushing, receiving or return touchdown this season.
Tight end Kyle Pitts is among the top tight ends in the nation, reeling in a FBS-leading 30 receptions for 362 yards (sixth-highest in nation).
Through seven games, the Gators' defense is second in the FBS with 12 interceptions and tied for fifth in the nation with 26 sacks. The defense also leads the nation in red zone defense, allowing their opponents to score on just 8-of-17 red zone opportunities.
