This will be the Gators’ second appearance on conference’s marquee pregame show this season.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – SEC Network announced on Friday that its weekly traveling show SEC Nation will be making its way to Jacksonville, Fla. to broadcast from the site of the Florida-Georgia game at TIAA Bank Stadium. The No. 7 Gators (7-1/4-1 SEC) and the No. 10-ranked Bulldogs (6-1/3-1 SEC) will meet in a key Southeastern Conference matchup.
For fans making the trip to Jacksonville, details, locations and information about the show will be released next week. Fans are reminded that it is free to attend. SEC Nation will air from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on SEC Network.
The series between Florida and Georgia dates back to 1915 and the Bulldogs hold a 51-43-2 all-time advantage. In Jacksonville, UGA holds a slight 45-40-1 lead in the series over the Gators. Since 1990, Florida is 21-8 against UGA and UF has won three of the past five meetings.
Saturday's matchup marks the first time since 2008 that Florida (currently No. 7) and Georgia (currently No. 10) will meet when they are both ranked inside the top 10.
Host and UF Alum Laura Rutledge is joined at the SEC Nation desk by Jacksonville native, Heisman Award winner and Gator Great Tim Tebow, along with former LSU defensive lineman Marcus Spears and ESPN radio's Paul Finebaum. This marks Tebow, Spears and Finebaum's sixth season with the show, and their fourth-consecutive SEC Network trip to the Florida-Georgia football game.
SEC Nation reporter Lauren Sisler will also travel with the show and report from a variety of game day festivities throughout.
The two-hour show begins at 10 a.m. ET outside of TIAA Bank Stadium from the beautiful St. Johns River in Met Park 2 (across Gator Bowl Blvd. from Lot J). Fans are encouraged to tailgate alongside the show. In addition to SEC Nation on Saturday, the Met Park 2 set will play host to The Paul Finebaum Show from 3-7 p.m. on Friday afternoon.
Saturday's game marks Florida's 17th appearance on SEC Nation.
Kickoff against Georgia is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. on CBS.
