Carter's Corner: Getting a Read on Florida-Georgia
Wednesday, October 30, 2019 | Football, Scott Carter
In the case of Saturday's Florida-Georgia game in Jacksonville, Bulldogs senior safety J.R. Reed probably was surprised on Wednesday to see what he said about Gators quarterback Kyle Trask. You know, that Trask couldn't even start for his high school team and the Bulldogs are not too concerned about him.
Of course, here is what Reed actually said according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution:
"He's definitely not a backup type of guy. He's a big player and can play strong. He's not as athletic as Florida's previous quarterback, but he's a great player. You can see that he knows how to run the offense and can spread the ball around."
Oh, well. Not nearly as juicy as on Twitter.
What everyone hopes is Saturday's game is as juicy as Reed's fake quote.
