GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Forty-four former Gators took the field across 22 teams during an action-packed slate of games during week 11 of the NFL season.
Veteran linebacker Jon Bostic led the Reskins' defense on Sunday against the Jets, registering a team-high seven defensive stops in his 10th start of the season. Additionally, Bostic intercepted a Sam Darnold pass in the second quarter and returned it 26 yards. This marks Bostic's first interception since 2013 and the second during his seven-year career.
A four year letter-winner for the Gators from 2009-2012, Bostic finished his collegiate career with 237 total tackles, 19.0 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks, seven pass breakups, five interceptions and two forced fumbles in 51 career games.
The Detroit Lions and a pair of former Gators hit the field at AT&T Stadium to take on the Cowboys on Sunday afternoon. Jeff Driskel led the Lion offense in his second-straight start at quarterback. The former Gator completed 15-of-26 passes for 209 yards and two passing touchdowns, while also eclipsing a career-high 51 yards on the ground and adding a two-yard rushing touchdown in the second quarter.
Jarrad Davis manned the Lions' defense from the linebacker spot, forcing and recovering a fumble on Dallas' first offensive series. He added seven tackles in his start.
