Florida advanced to the SEC Tournament each year of the program's history, winning 12 titles including the 2015 and 2016 crowns. This is the fourth meeting between Florida & Texas A&M in SEC Tournament play since 2013 – the most meetings in UF's 16 tournament matches in that span. TAMU leads 2-1 in SEC Tournament play.

The SEC Tournament expanded a day in 2012 after the addition of Missouri and Texas A&M. The schedule of play changed in 2017 to Sunday-Tuesday-Thursday-Sunday, as the competition days were Monday-Wednesday-Friday-Sunday in 2012-16.

Two appear on the All-SEC first team – senior defender
Julia Lester and redshirt junior midfielder
Parker Roberts. It is Roberts' second All-SEC first-team honor, as she also was part of the 2017 team as a sophomore. A pair of Gator forwards appear on the All-SEC second team – graduate transfer
Vanessa Kara and junior
Kit Loferski. Kara also earned three All-Colonial Athletic Association honors while at Drexel.
Kouri Peace earned a spot on the SEC All-Freshman team.

Last Meeting Between Florida and Texas A&M:
Florida claimed its second consecutive win versus a top-15 opponent on Oct. 6 in Gainesville with its 3-1 result over then No. 12 Texas A&M. In the win, Florida scored early when junior
Madison Alexander successfully converted a penalty kick at 6:06. Senior
Vanessa Kara scored a goal in each half. Her first came at 17:00 when she hit a 12-yard shot off the back heel pass from
Cassidy Lindley. Senior
Sammie Betters, who also assisted on Kara's first goal, got the primary assist on Kara's second in the 67
th minute. Betters sent the ball from
Parker Roberts immediately to Kara who was making a run through the box. She one-touched it in from 12 yards for her third double goal effort in a six match span.

TAMU broke up the clean sheet in the 74th minute when Taylor Ziemer scored on a 15-yard left-footed shot.

No. 17 Texas A&M is the eighth match versus a top-20 opponent for Florida in 2019. The Aggies are outscoring opponents 45-17, including 24-13 in SEC play. The 45 TAMU goals this season is the nation's No. 9 total through Oct. 31 play. Junior Jimena Lopez, the SEC Midfielder of 2019, leads TAMU in assists (13-No. 2 in NCAA D1 play). Senior All-American and 2019 SEC Forward of the Year Ally Watt's 14 goals and 34 points both rank No. 10 in NCAA D1 play. Freshman Shantel Hutton leads the three Aggie goalkeepers. She owns a GAA of 0.712 and her nine solo shutouts ranks No. 17 in NCAA D1 action.
