OXFORD, Miss. – The 12th-ranked Florida volleyball team heads to Oxford, Miss. to take on Ole Miss on Friday night in the Gillom Athletics Performance Center.
First serve is slated for 7:30 p.m. ET on the SEC Network +.
The Gators are coming off a five-set win over No. 24 Missouri on Oct. 30, while Ole Miss dropped its last contest in five-sets, falling to the Crimson Tide on Nov. 3.
Florida is ranked in the top-3 in three different categories in the SEC: hitting percentage (2nd, .271); opponent hitting efficiency (2nd, .183) and blocks per set (1st, 2.62).
Individually,
Thayer Hall is ranked sixth in points per set (4.45), eighth in service aces per set (0.32) and sixth in kills per set (3.82).
Rachael Kramer sits 10th in the league with a .328 hit clip.
Marlie Monserez sits fourth in the conference with 9.95 assists per set, while
Allie Gregory is fifth in digs per set, averaging 4.18.
Lauren Dooley is ranked second in blocks per set, averaging 1.20 and
Paige Hammons is also ranked sixth in service aces per set, registering 0.32 through the season thus far.
In conference play, the Gators are ranked first in blocks per set (2.68) and third in opponent hitting percentage (.197).
Lauren Dooley is second in the league in blocks per set, averaging 1.29, while
Rachael Kramer is third in hitting percentage (.385).
In the last meeting on Oct. 19, 2018, Florida won in Oxford, Miss. (20-25, 25-21, 25-21, 25-15).
The Gators notched a then-rally scoring era program record 23 blocks as a squad – led by 12 from
Taelor Kellum and 11 from
Rachael Kramer.
Holly Carlton paced the offense on Friday night, finishing with 17 kills.
Thayer Hall followed with 13 kills, while Kramer chipped in 10 of her own.
Allie Monserez led the team in assists during the match, dishing out 29.
Marlie Monserez registered 18 on the evening.
Allie Gregory controlled the backcourt defense, recording 19 digs in the four-setter.
Paige Hammons pitched in 11 digs of her own during the match.
