GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The final month of the 2019-20 NFL regular season began on Sunday with 44 players on 23 teams across the league.
Florida's pedigree of NFL defensive backs runs deep, and a trio of them produced a takeaway during the week 13 slate.
In New Orleans' Thanksgiving win over the Falcons, rookie C.J. Gardner-Johnson intercepted his first career pass and returned it 28 yards.
The win helped clinch the Saints' third-consecutive NFC South Division title.
San Francisco 49ers safety Marcell Harris also notched his first career takeaway, stripping the ball away from Ravens QB Lamar Jackson for a fumble recovery in the third quarter on Sunday's game.
Veteran defensive back Joe Haden helped the Steelers stay in playoff contention after sealing an AFC North victory over Cleveland, intercepting a Baker Mayfield pass with just over a minute remaining against the Browns. The INT marks his second of the season.
