No. 3 Gators Travel to Face Dolphins

The Gators (11-0) will take on the Dolphins (4-4) tomorrow at 5 p.m. Ryan Urquhart will have the call live on WGGG (92.1/1230 AM) and WMOP (100.1 FM/900 AM) and live stats for the game can be found HERE.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – No. 3 Florida takes to the road once more with a trip to take on Jacksonville (Fla.) in a midweek contest slated for Wednesday, Feb. 20, at 5 p.m. before the team returns home to Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium to host the Bubly Invitational this weekend.

The Gators (11-0) returned from the Littlewood Classic hosted by Arizona State with five more wins on the season. While in Tempe, Ariz. UF outscored opponents 42-8 and picked up its third top 25 victory of the season with a decisive 7-2 victory over then ranked No. 14 ASU.

Notable Notes
Barnhill Tabbed SEC Pitcher of the Week
Senior Kelly Barnhill earned the 11th SEC Pitcher of the Week of her career Monday, Feb. 18.

Barnhill (6-0) picked up a decision in all four of her appearances over the week. The Marietta, Ga. native started with a pair of saves over UNF and Illinois State then she earned fifth victory of the season in a complete-game effort over No. 14 Arizona State where she struck out a season-high 14.

The right-handed pitcher concluded the week with a solid 4.0 inning outing against Central Michigan where she struck out eight more batters.

Barnhill struck out 28 batters over just 13.0 innings of work and limited the opposition to just a .116 batting average.
 
Lorenz Closing In On Career Walks Record
Senior Amanda Lorenz is just two walks away from tying former Florida standout Kayli Kvistad's career walks record and just seven from breaking it. The Moorpark, Calif. native currently has 184 career walks and has drawn eight so far this year.
Kvistad set the new benchmark number of 186 last season as the Gators went on to break the NCAA DI single season record with 360 walks.
 
Gators Move Up In National Polls
After an 11-0 start to the season and three top 25 wins, including a win this past weekend over then ranked No. 14 Arizona State, the Gators have moved up to No. 3 in both the USA Today/NFCA Coaches Poll and the ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Poll.
