Miami Comes to Town for Three Game Series

Florida has won four series in a row against the Hurricanes dating back to 2015.
GAINESVILLE, Fla.--The Florida baseball team hosts in-state rival Miami this weekend for three games at McKethan Stadium beginning Friday night.

The series opener is Friday at 6:30 p.m. All three games this weekend will stream live on SEC Network+ via the WatchESPN app.

Florida has won four series in a row against the Hurricanes dating back to 2015. Overall, the Gators have won 12 of the last 15 games and 28 of the last 35 against Miami. Head coach Kevin O'Sullivan is 29-12 against Miami.

  • Starting Strong: Last weekend, the Gators starting pitchers combined for 16.1 innings and just four earned runs allowed (2.20 ERA). Tyler Dyson surpassed 100 career strikeouts on Friday, Tommy Mace went 7.0 innings on Saturday and Jack Leftwich went 6.0 without allowing a walk in the finale.
  • Early Impact: Jud Fabian, an early enrollee in January from nearby Ocala, has made an instant impact with the Gators. He's started the first five games in center field and has three hits -- all for extra bases -- including Florida's first home run of the season on Tuesday night at USF. Fellow early enrollee Nolan Crisp picked up the first two saves of his career on Saturday and Sunday with two scoreless outings out of the bullpen.
  • The Gators lineup included three true freshmen on opening night, matching the most in 12 seasons under O'Sullivan. Overall, the Gators have had 15 players make their debut over the first five games, including 11 true freshmen.

PARKING INFORMATION

With multiple events happening on campus, please be prepared to find alternate options for parking. The Florida gymnastics team hosts Georgia Friday night at 6:45 p.m. and the Gators' men's basketball team plays Missouri at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. The following options are available for fans attending baseball at McKethan Stadium.
  • First-come, first-serve in O'Connell Center Garage
  • A FREE shuttle service is provided from Garage IX at the Intersection of Gale Lemerand Drive and Archer Road. The shuttle begins 2 hours prior to the start of the earliest scheduled event, and will end approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of the last event. (map)
