GAINESVILLE, Fla. – No. 3 Florida heads back to the west coast for the Judi Garman Classic hosted by Cal State Fullerton at Anderson Family Field presented by USA Softball Feb. 28-March 1. UF is set to face one of the toughest stretches of its schedule with games against No. 2 UCLA, No. 5 Washington and No. 20 Oregon along with New Mexico and Cal State – Northridge.
The Gators (18-0) enter the week after a successful weekend in the Bubly Invitational held at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium. UF defeated Illinois State, Syracuse and Florida A&M twice each over the weekend at home.
This week's competition intensifies as three of the Gators opponents, UCLA, Washington and Oregon, are ranked inside the top 25 of both national polls and were all 2018 Women's College World Series participants.

Barnhill SEC Pitcher of the Week
For the second time of her career, senior
Kelly Barnhill (9-0) earned back-to-back-to-back Southeastern Conference Pitcher of the Week awards. Barnhill captured the award after she hurled 15.2 scoreless innings at the Bubly Invitational to extend her scoreless innings streak to a season-high 23.1 innings pitched.
The Marietta, Ga. also struck out 22 batters, including 10 against Illinois State, en route to a 3-0 record.
Overall, Barnhill has 12 career SEC pitcher of the Week awards, which is four behind Tennessee legend Monica Abbott.
Lorenz's Leadoff Long Ball
Amanda Lorenz has belted six home runs through the first 18 games of the season and currently leads the Gators in the category. Four of the Moorpark, Calif. native's six home runs have come at the very beginning of the game as the leadoff batter.

Walk It Out
Lorenz's eye at the plate throughout her career hasn't only resulted in hits but she's taken advantage of the walk. This past weekend against Syracuse at the Bubly Invitational, the Moorpark, Calif. native drew her 187
th career walk to become UF's all-time leader in the category. The previous record was held by former Gator
Kayli Kvistad (2015-'18) with 186.
The senior is also is the active NCAA leader in the category with the next closest players sitting at 129 in Oklahoma's Caleigh Clifton and Tennessee's Aubrey Leach. Â Â

On the Road Again
After this weekend the Gators will have played 25 games, including an exhibition against Japan, in 23 days. The team will also have traveled 10,340 miles over that stretch with trips to Tampa, Jacksonville, Tempe, Ariz. and Fullerton, Calif.
