KEY NOTES OF WEEK:
The Gators improved to 13-5 on the year with a 4-1 week at home in the middle of a 14-game homestand…With non-conference weekend series complete, Florida is now 20-0 in non-conference weekend series over the last five years (55-5 overall record in those series)…UF split a pair of midweek games against FGCU, winning handily 15-0 on Tuesday before falling 7-2 on Wednesday…The Gators offense picked back up over the weekend, hitting .343 with 25 runs in a sweep against Yale…Florida is now 11-1 in weekend games and 2-4 in midweek games on the season…All three weekend starters earned a win against Yale while Nolan Crisp picked up his seventh save of the year on Friday…Jud Fabian (7-14, .500, 3 HR, 5 RBI) and Nelson Maldonado (8-17, 2 HR, 8 RBI) led the offense last week…Brady McConnell stretched his hitting streak to 14 games and is 21-for-51 (.412) in that span)…Jacob Young continues to produce out of the leadoff spot and has a 10-game hitting streak (18-41, .439)…Hunter Ruth was the most effective pitcher, going 5.1 scoreless innings over two appearances with only one hit allowed, no walks and seven strikeouts…Justin Alintoff pitched 4.1 scoreless innings of relief…Nick Blasucci, returning from Tommy John, started and went two scoreless against FGCU on Tuesday.PLAYER OF THE WEEK

- Senior captain Nelson Maldonado has been on a tear and led the team with 8 RBI last week
- He went 8-for-17 (.471) in five games with three multi-hit games on the week

- Freshman Hunter Ruth – who sat out all of 2018 following Tommy John surgery – found his form with 5.1 innings out of the bullpen and just one hit allowed
- On Friday vs. Yale, he bridged the gap from starter to closer by retiring all five batters he faced (1.2 IP) and two strikeouts to preserve a 6-4 lead
- On Sunday, Ruth finished the game with 3.2 scoreless to earn his first save; he allowed a leadoff single in the seventh but retired the final nine hitters
- He struck out five with no walks on Sunday, including all three batters in a perfect ninth inning
