GAINESVILLE, Fla. – No. 7 Florida takes off for Baton Rouge for a key Southeastern Conference series against No. 9/8 LSU this Saturday through Monday. Saturday's game is set to be streamed on the SEC Network +, via WatchESPN, with the Sunday and Monday game's being aired on the SEC Network with Beth Mowins, Michelle Smith and Amanda Scarborough on the call.
Last weekend, the Gators (23-4, 1-2 SEC) opened up SEC play at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium against Tennessee. The Lady Vols took the first two games, 9-1 (5) & 3-0, before the UF bounced back to win the final game of the series in convincing fashion 8-0 (6).
LSU (22-5, 2-1 SEC) enters this weekend after it took the series, 2-1, over Texas A&M on the road in College Station.
Fans can listen to the series this weekend via the radio on WGGG (92.1 FM/1230 AM) & WMOP (100.1 FM/900 AM) as Kyle Crooks will have the call.

Florida Fielding Tops Nation
UF boasts the nation's best fielding percentage heading into this weekend's series against LSU. This year's program holds a .991 fielding percentage and has only committed six errors with 531 putouts and 142 assists.
The Donut Shop
Florida has left opposing teams with zero's running across the scoreboard over the year's and this year the program currently sits third in the country with 11 shutouts, only behind Georgia's 13 and LSU's 12. Senior
Kelly Barnhill has paced the pitching staff with five shutouts so far and is the current career active NCAA leader with 35 throughout her career.
Barnhill Closing In On Strikeout Milestone

Kelly Barnhill is fast approaching a milestone that only one other Florida pitcher has achieved over her career. The Marietta, Ga. native currently sits with 980 strikeouts which makes her just 20 shy of reaching 1,000 for her career.
Only Stacey Nelson (2006-'09) has eclipsed the 1,000-strikeout mark and she is the current UF record holder with 1,116.
Road Warriors
So far this season the Gators are 3-0 on the year in true road contests with wins over USF, Arizona State and Jacksonville. Entering the weekend, the program holds the nation's second longest road win streak as it has won its last nine road games which dates back to April 11, 2018. UCLA currently leads the nation in the category with an 11-game streak.
