GAINESVILLE, Fla. – No. 6 Florida continues its' non-conference slate of games with a pair of contests against Mercer (13-18) this Saturday at 4 p.m. (ET) and Sunday at 1 p.m. (ET).  Both games are set to be streamed on the SEC Network +.

The Gators (25-6) enter the weekend after the team defeated its eighth Top-25 opponent of the season with a 2-0 win over No. 20 Minnesota this past Wednesday night. Kendyl Lindaman hits a two-run home run in the first, while Kelly Barnhill struck out 12 in the complete-game effort where she also picked up her 1,000th career strikeout.

Following this weekend, the team will also host Bethune-Cookman for a midweek game next Wednesday, March 27, before it steps back into conference action with a trip to Ole Miss.

For this weekend's contests against the Bears, Tom Collett will have the call live on WGGG (92.1/1230 AM) and WMOP (100.1 FM/900 AM), while the SEC Network + broadcast will be hosted by Kyle Crooks and Francesca Enea.

Notable Notes
  • Barnhill picked up her 1,000th career strikeout in the game against No. 20 Minnesota. She became only the second Gator in program history to achieve the feat and now has her sights set on the school record that Stacey Nelson set with 1,116 strikeouts from 2006-'09.
  • Over the past six games, Lindaman has cranked four home runs against Top-25 competition. She currently ranks second on the team with six on the season, two of which are grand slams.
  • Defense has been a staple of Florida's program and this season the Gators continue to excel in the category as the nation's leader with a .991 fielding percentage. The team has only committed seven errors through 31 games.
  • Lorenz hit her 50th career double this past weekend in the series against LSU. The Moorpark, Calif. native is currently tied for second all-time in UF history with Kelsey Bruder and is nine away from Ashley Boone's record of 59.
