No. 6 Florida Continues Non-Conference Action Against Bethune-Cookman

For tomorrow's contest against the Wildcats, Ryan Urquhart will have the call live on WGGG (92.1/1230 AM) and WMOP (100.1 FM/900 AM), while the SEC Network + broadcast will be hosted by Kyle Crooks and Francesca Enea.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The sixth-ranked Florida softball team continues its stretch of non-conference action as the team welcomes Bethune-Cookman to Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium Wednesday at 6 p.m. UF enters tomorrow's contest after it took a pair of games against Mercer this past weekend.
 
The Gators (27-6) will host the Wildcats (12-22) before the team steps back into Southeastern Conference play this weekend with a trip to Oxford, Miss. for a three-game series against Ole Miss.

Notable Notes
 
  • Junior Kendyl Lindaman earned Louisville Slugger/National Fastpich Coaches Association Player of the Week and SEC Co-Player of the Week after a series of successful outings at the plate for the Gators. Over the last 10 games, Lindaman has hit eight home runs and accounted for 19 RBI.
    • Stephanie Tofft was the UF player pick up both awards in the same week; she earned the awards the week of April 21, 2014.
  • Senior Kelly Barnhill struck out her 1,000th career batter against Minnesota last week and now has her sights on the all-time record of 1,116 set by Stacey Nelson (2006-'09). Barnhill currently sits with 1,013 career strikeouts and is the NCAA's active career leader in the category.
  • The Gators are 25-2 this season against non-conference opponents have outscored teams 158-35 in those matchups.
  • Florida has posted 12 shutouts on the year so far and rank sixth nationally in the category.
