Wednesday, March 27, 2019 | Women's Golf
GAINESVILLE, Fl. – UF women's golfer freshman Clara Manzalini has earned her first SEC accolade, women's freshman golfer of the week, as announced by the league Wednesday.
Manzalini is fresh off tying her best collegiate finish, T3, which she earned at the Cougar Classic in September and again last weekend at the Evans Derby Experience. She was one of only six players in the 87-player field to card an under-par score for the tournament. She also carded 11 birdies over three rounds, pacing No. 9 Florida to a fifth place finish in a field of 14.
The Gators will be back in competition April 11-13 when they travel to Athens, Georgia for the Liz Murphy Collegiate, hosted by Georgia.
