KEY NOTES OF WEEK:
Florida went 4-1 last week as the offensive exploded in a big way…The Gators hit .368 and scored 63 runs (12.6/game) with eight home runs; entering the week, UF was hitting .228 with 33 total runs (4.1/game) with two home runs…Florida beat JU 5-4 in an extra-inning affair in Jacksonville, winning on a RBI double by freshman Jud Fabian in the 10th inning; freshman Nolan Crisp saved the game with a scoreless bottom of the 10th…UCF beat Florida 12-9 in a midweek shootout…The offensive momentum continued as Florida scored 49 runs in three games against Winthrop in a weekend sweep…UF won 16-4 in game one, 28-5 in game two and 5-3 in game three…Veterans Nelson Maldonado (9-18, .500, 7 RBI), Brady McConnell (9-19, .474, 6 R) and Wil Dalton (6-13, .462, 6 R, HR, 4 RBI) had big weeks at the plate in addition to freshmen Cory Acton (6-13, .462, 4 R, 4 RBI), Jacob Young (9-21, .429, 7 R, 7 RBI) and Jud Fabian (6-15, .400, 4 R, 4 RBI) continued their offensive production…In addition, freshman Kendrick Calilao racked up a team-best 10 RBI (5-19, .263, HR)…On the mound, all three starters had productive weekends, led by Tommy Mace (5.0 IP, 3 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 6 K, 1 BB)…Freshman Nolan Crisp picked up two more saves, bringing his season total to six in six opportunities.PLAYER OF THE WEEK

- The senior led the offense to its best week of the season thus far, as UF hit .368 overall with 63 total runs
- Maldonado tied for the team lead with nine hits and was second with seven RBI
- He raised his average from .207 to .319 on the year
PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Tommy Mace – So. – RHP – Tampa, Fla.1 GS, 5.0 IP, 3 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 6 K, 1 BB
- Mace was outstanding on Sunday in game one of UF's doubleheader, tossing five innings in just 72 pitches (he exited with a 17-2 lead)
- The lone earned run allowed was a solo home run
- He faced just three batters over the minimum through his five innings
- Improved to 3-0 on the year with a 2.84 ERA

- The freshman was inserted into the lineup in the leadoff spot this week and provided a spark for the Gators' offense
- Got a hit in all five games with multiple hits in three games
- Hit two home runs in game one of the Sunday doubleheader, including a grand slam
- Tied for the team lead with nine hits, seven runs and had a team-best two home runs on the week
