#GatorsKnow: Why UF? Only Gators Know
Saturday, March 9, 2019 | Football
Through wins and losses on and off the field, no one in the country understands what being a Florida Gator means.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Being a member of Gator Nation instills pride in one another as we all go throughout our daily lives and interact with family, friends, colleagues and meet new acquaintances.
The pride we feel as Gators obviously is exemplified through games inside The Swamp, Exactech Arena and all other venues during various events. However, it's the moments within the game or off the field that creates a unique culture that only UF fans and alums know.

Oct. 6, 2018 -- The earth shook as safety Brad Stewart Jr. returned an interception 25 yards for a touchdown with less than two minutes left in the fourth quarter to secure UF's win over fifth-ranked team in the country.
That play, along with Tim Tebow's induction into the Ben Hill Griffin Stadium Ring of Honor, highlighted an amazing Saturday in Gainesville that gave all Gators a reason to Stand Up & Holler.
Each of those amazing moments hit a chord for Gator Nation, but we all stand together through tough times as well.
Dark times teach you a lot. Pain and suffering teaches you that It can only get better from here. That's why you can't regret what you went through, but rather be thankful for all of the lessons it taught you. F O R E V E R 2 1 pic.twitter.com/G9V6e5F0J0

Randy Russell is a walking example of the #GatorStandard and the love he has for this place on #GatorsKnow and is an inspiration to all.
No matter what your favorite tradition is or who your favorite player, coach or moment from Florida football history is, never forget that we're all in this together, "through all types of weather."
