Florida went 1-3 last week with a 12-1 midweek win over FAMU on Tuesday; over the weekend, the Gators were swept at No. 18 Ole Miss in Oxford … The Gators had a good weekend offensively, hitting .292 and averaged 6.0 runs per game with three home runs and 15 RBI … On the mound, the UF had its worst weekend of the year, posting an 11.62 earned run average; the Gators allowed 40 runs and a .415 batting average to the Rebels … Florida fell to 4-8 in the SEC, its worst start in league play since starting 4-8 in 2006 (finished 10-20) … The Gators hit .313 last week with 30 runs in four games … Four starters hit .400 or batter: Cory Acton (.462, 6-13), Brady McConnell (.438, 7-16), Nelson Maldonado (.429, 6-14) and Austin Langworthy (.400, 6-15) … UF posted an 8.73 earned run average and .349 batting average against … David Luethje saw the most success, posting a 1.93 ERA over 4.2 innings.PLAYER OF THE WEEK
