Florida placed a school record 251 student-athletes on 2018-19 SEC Fall, Winter and Spring Academic Honor Rolls.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The University of Florida placed 103 student-athletes on the 2019 Southeastern Conference Spring Academic Honor Roll, announced today by league commissioner Greg Sankey.
The 2019 SEC Spring Academic Honor Roll is based on grades from the 2018-19 summer, fall and spring terms. Florida placed a school record 251 student-athletes on 2018-19 SEC Fall, Winter and Spring Academic Honor Rolls.
The NCAA Indoor champion men's track & field team saw 24 earn a spot on the SEC Academic Honor Roll. The women's team – which placed in the top six in both NCAA Indoor and Outdoor Championships – had 18 honorees. The Gator lacrosse team, which swept the American Athletic regular season and tournament titles, saw 19 earn a spot on Academic Honor Roll.
The SEC Tournament champion softball team, which advanced to the NCAA Women's College World Series, placed 11 on the SEC Academic Honor Roll. The Gator baseball team had 13 honorees. The men's golf team saw six earn SEC Academic Honor Roll status and the women's team placed five on the list. Four from the men's NCAA semifinalist tennis team and three from the women's team appear on the list.

- Five Gators turned in 4.0 grade point averages for the 2018-19 academic year - Sam Ahrenholz (men's track & field), Haley Hicklen (lacrosse), Laura Jones (track & field), Amanda Lorenz (softball), Caroline May (lacrosse).
- Ahrenholz receives a $10,000 post-graduate scholarship as the male winner of the 2018-19 Brad Davis Southeastern Conference Community Service Leader of the Year award.
- Five who received 2018-19 conference athlete of year honors appear on the spring academic honor roll:

- David, who won the NCAA Indoor triple jump and NCAA Outdoor long jump in 2019, was in Los Angeles Monday to receive the Honda Award as the season's top collegiate women's track & field athlete.
- Senior Kelly Barnhill earned her third consecutive Google Cloud Academic All-America honor earlier this month, distinguishing her as the second Gator softball player to earn Academic All-America honors each year eligible for the award.
