32 Gators Named to AAC All-Academic Team

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The University of Florida's lacrosse team proved its dominance both on and off the field in the 2019 season as 32 student-athletes were named to the AAC All-Academic Team, as the American Athletic Conference announced Thursday.
That number serves as a Florida lacrosse record for conference academic award honorees.
Earlier this year, 19 Gators earned a spot on the SEC Spring Academic Honor Roll, the most in history of the Florida lacrosse program. Most recently, 12 Florida freshmen earned a spot on the SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll.
On the field, Florida swept both the American Athletic Conference regular season and tournament titles, while going undefeated in league play for the fourth-straight season. The Gators finished the season with a 14-7 record, collected four IWLCA All-America honors, seven First Team All-AAC accolades and four of the six major AAC postseason awards.
To be eligible for the honor, a student-athlete must have competed in an American Athletic Conference-sponsored sport, attained a minimum grade-point average of 3.00 for the preceding academic year, and completed a minimum of two consecutive semesters or there consecutive quarters of work.
