Six Gators earn IWLCA Academic Honors

The six Florida lacrosse players hold a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The University of Florida lacrosse team once again showcased its success in the classroom, with six players earning a spot on the 2019 IWLCA Zag Sports Division I Academic Honor Roll.
Lexi Bolton, Brianna Harris, Haley Hicklen, Kenzii Kittell, Caroline May and Emily Petillo were the Gators to earn the accolades.
To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater. The IWLCA honored a total of 501 student-athletes from 99 institutions on the 2019 honor roll.
These six honorees push the total number of academic honors to 69 for the 2019 campaign (SEC Spring Honor Roll – 19; SEC First Year Honor Roll – 12; AAC Honor Roll – 32; IWLCA – 6).
On the field, Florida swept both the American Athletic Conference regular season and tournament titles, while going undefeated in league play for the fourth-straight season. The Gators finished the season with a 14-7 record, collected four IWLCA All-America honors, seven First Team All-AAC accolades and four of the six major AAC postseason awards.
