GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- The No. 11-ranked Gators (1-0) host UT Martin (1-0) in their home opener on Saturday night.

1ST QUARTER
Florida 3, UT Martin 0 (8:45) -- The Gators stopped the Skyhawks three-and-out on the game's opening drive, and then marched 37 yards on nine plays to score their first points of the season at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium on a 32-yard field goal by Evan McPherson. Lamical Perine rushed three times for 19 yards on the drive and Feleipe Franks went 5-for-5 to account for UF's additional 18 yards on its opening drive.
NOTES: The Gators announced prior to the game that DB/LB Amari Burney and S Jeawon Taylor would not play because they are not 100 percent physically. Meanwhile, S Brad Stewart and DL Luke Ancrum are suspended for tonight's game for not living up to head coach Dan Mullen's "Gator Standard" ... Florida ran 13 plays for 64 yards in first quarter; UTM ran 11 for 29 in what was a penalty-free period ... True freshman DB Chester Kimbrough led the Gators with three tackles in the opening quarter.
2ND QUARTER
Florida 10, UT Martin 0 (8:35) -- The Gators' first touchdown of the season at home is in the books, a 69-yard scoring strike from Feleipe Franks to senior receiver Van Jefferson. Franks' third touchdown pass of the young season capped a five-play, 92-yard drive in 2 minutes, 15 seconds.
Florida 17, UT Martin 0 (5:00) -- Franks is off to a nice start with his second touchdown pass of the game, this one a 35-yard scoring toss to Tyrie Cleveland, who broke free in the middle of the field and was wide open. Franks is 12-for-12 for 158 yards and two touchdowns in the first half.
NOTES: Florida CB CJ Henderson and WR Kadarius Toney both left the game in the first half due to injuries. We are still waiting to hear if they will return in the second half ... UF has 266 yards at halftime, UTM with 83 ... Until his incompletion on a heave into the end zone on the final play of the half, Franks was 15 of 15 passing. He finished the first half 15 of 16 for 183 yards and two touchdowns ... Jefferson was his favorite target, catching three passes for 85 yards and a score.
3RD QUARTER
Florida 24, UT Martin 0 (11:52) -- Florida stretched its lead on a 1-yard touchdown run by tailback Malik Davis, capping a seven-play, 51-yard drive in 3:01. Franks connected twice with receiver Trevon Grimes on the drive, accounting for 32 yards.
Florida 31, UT Martin 0 (4:49) -- The Gators have pulled away here in the third quarter, padding their lead on a 5-yard touchdown run by Lamical Perine. Perine's scoring run capped an 11-play, 66-yard drive that took 5:33 off the clock. Florida now has 393 yards of total offense, UTM 88.
NOTES: Henderson will not return to the game and Toney remains out of action. Henderson has returned to the sideline but is on crutches and has a protective boot on his left foot ... Franks' 15 straight completions to start the game marks the second-longest stretch of consecutive completions in a single game in school history. Former UF standout Chris Leak completed 17 passes in a row against Wyoming in 2005 ... Redshirt freshman QB Emory Jones entered the game in the third quarter and split a series with Franks, who was 20 of 22 for 241 yards at the conclusion of the drive that ended with Davis' scoring run.
4TH QUARTER
Florida 38, UT Martin 0 (14:55) -- On the first play of the fourth quarter, Gators reserve quarterback Kyle Trask threw a 5-yard touchdown pass to redshirt freshman receiver Jacob Copeland to extend the Gators' comfortable lead. The Gators drove 43 yards on six plays, covering 2:17 on the game clock.
Florida 45, UT Martin 0 (3:55) -- Jones added to Florida's lead with a 16-yard touchdown run, the first rushing score of his collegiate career. A redshirt freshman, Jones directed a six-play, 78-yard drive in 2:13.
NOTES: Copeland's touchdown catch was the first of his collegiate career. He has three catches for 23 yards and one run for 15 yards ... Kaiir Elam picked off the first pass of his career with 12:52 left in the game.
