What to Expect on Football Gamedays - LSU Week

This is a comprehensive look at the initiatives that will be in place for this week's game against LSU and the 2020 season to ensure fans enjoy the game while respecting the health and safety of all in attendance.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Football Saturdays and excitement are back in the Swamp, and the University Athletic Association would like to commend the Gator Nation for their commitment to following the newly-implemented gameday safety protocols throughout the home opener.

While the UAA is still prioritizing the health and safety of all in attendance for this Saturday's 4:00 p.m. game against LSU, we also want to ensure the Gator Nation is having fun during a unique 2020 season. For fans who want to watch the game at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, there are still tickets available. Follow this link to purchase single game tickets.

One way to amplify the fun factor? Filling seats left vacant as a result of physical distancing guidelines with your very own fan cutout!

For just $79, you can have your face on a 2.75-foot tall coroplast cutout, which will be secured to a seat in the stands all each remaining home game. These also make for a fun gift for family and friends! Fans will also have the option to pick up their cutout, or to receive it by mail once the season is over.

For more information about the fan cutouts, including how to choose the best photo for your cutout and ordering deadlines, follow this link.

As previously noted, in order to prioritize the health and safety of the Gator Nation, gamedays will continue to be different in 2020. For fans who want to watch the Gators play, there are still tickets available. Follow this link to purchase single game tickets.

Earlier this season, the UAA announced and detailed several gameday safety protocols and strategies – all of which are accessible via this link – with the first and foremost being mandatory face coverings for everyone in attendance.

In accordance with UF Health and campus guidelines, face coverings (over the nose and mouth) will be required of all guests throughout the entire game, except during times of eating or drinking while seated, or in designated areas. Failure to comply with this important health guideline could result in loss of ticket privileges. Physical distancing will also be required upon entering, moving throughout, and exiting the stadium. All fans will also be asked to abide by a strict physical distance policy of six feet between groups.

Additionally, to promote a safer environment for our student-athletes, staff, and fans, the following fan experiences will be suspended in 2020:

  • Public tailgating and gatherings will not be permitted on the UF campus
  • Gator Walk will not occur
  • Gator Walk Village will not be set up
  • Gators Fan Fest will not be conducted
  • Spirit teams will not be on the sidelines

Once inside the stadium, fans will see new guidelines, signage, and enhanced cleaning procedures throughout, including an increased number of hand sanitizer stations.

**2020 TICKETING INFORMATION**
Due to physical distancing requirements, total capacity at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium will be 20 percent in the seating bowl and club levels, which puts capacity right at 17,000.

To reduce contact between fans and staff, all tickets will be mobile handled through the Florida Gators mobile app, or FloridaGators.com/myaccount. Before you get to the gate on gameday, please add your tickets to your Apple Wallet or Google Pay account for added safety and convenience.

Official Florida Gators App
In the continued effort to create a championship experience for Gator Nation, the University Athletic Association partnered with VenueNext to design and build an app that augments and enhances the fan experience at all its events.

After the fan downloads the app, it can be connected to their Ticketmaster account so tickets (season, package, or single-game) can be stored inside it for entry into Ben Hill Griffin Stadium using their phone. This feature will be available for all fans this fall.

Students also will have the ability to access their tickets via the mobile app. Their tickets, with seat locations, will be sent directly to students on their phone during the week of a home game.

Once in the stadium, fans will be able to make in-app concessions purchases (i.e. purchase an item in the app and pick up their order at an express pick up line) and store credit card information on the app. Once in the stadium, fans can make in-app concession purchases (i.e. purchase an item in the app and pick up order at an express pick up line). This allows fans desiring a cashless experience to reduce contact points.

**2020 PARKING INFORMATION**

Public parking lots are very limited around the stadium, and all lots that are not reserved are available on a first-come, first-served basis (see map below). As always, parking on the grass and sidewalks is NOT permitted, and any vehicles doing so are at risk of being towed.

PARKING MAP

Lots for those with parking passes will open three hours prior to kickoff. Overnight parking will not be permitted on campus at any time (pre- or post-game). No RV parking will be permitted unless you have a football gameday RV parking pass.

The only shuttle service available this season will be disabled transportation.

From Garage IX, fans can utilize the free lift-equipped disabled shuttle service. The shuttles begin running three hours prior to kickoff and drop off at Gate 18 of the Football stadium. The shuttles from Garage IX are running continuously until kickoff and then pick back up at the start of the fourth quarter.

Golf carts are available to pick up fans in reserved disabled parking lots around the Stadium and drop passengers off as close to their gate as possible. Post-game, golf carts stop by Gates 1, 2, 3, 4, and 7, and run 30 minutes after the game has finished.

Guests needing this service should find the nearest Guest Services representative to request a pickup. Guests will be assisted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Golf cart shuttles are limited in seating, therefore only the guest in need of assistance and one companion should seek this service. The golf cart program is limited for persons with disabilities.
For additional information on disabled transportation, follow this link.

University Avenue Traffic Changes
Unlike previous seasons, West University Avenue will NOT be closed between Gale Lemerand Drive and NW 17th Street. However, lanes of traffic may be reduced before and after the game.

Waze App
All drivers are encouraged to download and use the Waze Directions app to help them find parking or fastest routes to pickup/drop-off points (for ridesharing drivers) on gameday. UAA Staff updates the app with road closures and parking lot entrances.

In addition, FloridaGators.com contains links using Waze that will take fans to a specific parking lot where their pass allows them.
