No. 7 Gators Close Homestand with Jacksonville

Florida holds and all-time record of 22-0 against tomorrow's opponent and has outscored the Dolphins 161-15. The results include 11 shutouts and seven run-rule victories.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – No. 7 Florida closes its' nine-game homestand with a midweek contest against Jacksonville Wednesday, Feb. 19, at 6 p.m. The game is set to be streamed online via SEC Network + with Ryan Urquhart and Francesca Enea in the booth.
 
The Gators (11-1) enter the contest after the program went a perfect 6-0 at the Bubly Invitational this past weekend. UF downed North Dakota State and Longwood twice to open the weekend, then closed out the invitational with wins over Southeastern Louisiana and Florida A&M. Overall, the program improved their all-time record against this year's tournament field to 41-0 and outscored the opposition 41-2.

Following the contest with Jacksonville, the Gators take flight to Palm Springs, Calif. to take on nationally ranked No. 1 UCLA, No. 5 Arizona, No. 16 Arizona State and No. 25 Northwestern at the Marry Nutter Collegiate Classic. The team will close out the classic against Nebraska Sunday.
 
Tomorrow's game will also be broadcast on WGGG (92.1 FM/1230 AM) & WMOP (100.1 FM/900 AM) with Tom Collett and Mike Ridaught on the call.
 
 
Lindaman Hit Streak
Kendyl Lindaman extended her hit streak out to 11 games, which broke her career long hit streak of 10 that lasted from March 12-April 1, 2017.
 
The only game this season she hasn't picked up a hit in was the season opener against Illinois State.The streak is tied for the fifth longest produced by a Florida senior and it's also tied for 13th all-time.

Lindaman also hit .450 on the week (9-for-20) with five runs, two doubles and three RBI.
 

Echols and Adams Pace Gators' Offense
Sophomore Charla Echols & junior Hannah Adams turned in monster performances at the plate last week. Adams paced the Gators in batting average at a .526 (10-for-19) clip with eight runs scored and four RBI, while Echols went 11-for-21 (.524) with nine runs scored and 11 RBI.
 
Adams provided the walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the 7th inning against North Dakota State to win 1-0 and tied the game 1-1 against Florida A&M with her first home run of the season. Echols notched a career-high five RBI thanks to her first multi-home run performance of the season against Longwood and also went a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate against Southeastern Louisiana.
 

Gators Rank Nationally
The Gators enter this week ranked inside the top 10 nationally in batting average (.353 - 8th), fielding percentage (.990 - 5th), on base percentage (.466 - 6th), shutouts (5 - 2nd), and walks (46 - 3rd). Also, the team leads the Southeastern Conference in fielding percentage, shutouts and walks.
