
Florida Lacrosse’s Matchups with Brown, Princeton Cancelled Due to Ivy League Policy

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Due to the decision of the Ivy League Presidents to cancel all athletics events through the remainder of the academic year, the Florida lacrosse team's games against Brown and Princeton have been cancelled.
The Gators were set to face Brown on March 14 and Princeton on March 24.
Released Statement from the Ivy League:
"In accordance with the guidance of public health and medical professionals, several Ivy League institutions have announced that students will not return to campus after spring break, and classes will be held virtually during the semester. Given this situation, it is not feasible for practice and competition to continue."
The University of Florida/University Athletic Association continue to monitor the situation and released the following statement this evening:

The University of Florida/University Athletic Association continue to monitor the situation and released the following statement this evening:
- "Southeastern Conference commissioner Greg Sankey announced tonight that beginning Thursday, March 12 and continuing until at least Monday, Mar. 30, all league events will continue with no fan presence. Only essential game day personnel and player families will be in venue. The first event affected by this will be the SEC Men's Basketball Tournament in Nashville.
- The University of Florida announced it will move classes online by Monday, March 16, and classes will remain online until at least March 30. Student athletes and other students that remain on campus will continue to have access to Gator Dining, health facilities and other support services. The campus will remain open and fully operational.
- The scheduled Florida athletics home events will continue to have broadcast and media coverage
- The Gators Ticket Office will automatically refund all ticket purchases for events scheduled to take place from March 13 to March 30. Refunds will be processed back to the form of payment used for the original purchase. All purchasers will be contacted once the refund is processed."
