Florida Softball Announces 2022 Schedule

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida softball program and head coach Tim Walton announced the 2022 softball schedule Friday afternoon. Ticket information is set to be revealed at a later date.
Florida's full schedule features 32 games at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium, 14 NCAA Tournament opponents, three of which made appearances at the 2021 Women's College World Series, and numerous conference champions.
"I am excited that Gator Nation will get to join us for 32 regular season games and the SEC Tournament at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium this upcoming season." Walton said. "Our 2021 schedule is filled with numerous conference champions and NCAA Tournament teams and we look forward to the opportunity of competing against some of the best teams in the nation."
In Southeastern Conference play, the Gators welcome Mississippi State (March 11-13), Tennessee (March 25-27), Alabama (8-10) and Arkansas (April 22-24) to KSP Stadium.
The program's conference road schedule consists of trips to Texas A&M (March 18-20), Auburn (April 1-3), Ole Miss (April 14-16) and LSU (April 29 – May 1).
In non-conference action, the Gators will open the season at the USF tournament (Feb. 11-13) in Tampa.
UF is currently scheduled to take on Illinois State, Michigan and the Bulls. USF and Michigan earned NCAA Tournament bids last season and the Wolverines also captured the 2021 Big Ten Championship.
Following opening weekend is the T-Mobile Tournament (Feb. 18-20), the Knights Classic hosted by UCF (Feb. 25-27) and the Bubly Invitational (March 4-6). The T-Mobile Tournament & Bubly Invitational are hosted by UF at KSP Stadium.
The T-Mobile Tournament field of opponents features Duke, Villanova, Louisville and Florida A&M. In 2021, the Blue Devils won the ACC Tournament Championship, while the Wildcats captured the Big East Tournament Championship.
At the Knights Classic, the Gators will take on Oakland, DePaul, James Madison and UCF.
The Bubly Invitational will bring in Georgia State, Coastal Carolina and Tennessee State, while the Knights Classic
Florida's midweek competition throughout the year features games against Florida State (April 6 & May 4), Jacksonville (Feb. 16 & 17), UNF (Feb. 22 & 23), Southern Miss (March 2), Stetson (March 16 & 23), UCF (March 30) and USF (April 20).
