In Florida's 2020-21 Home Finale:
Florida closed home action for its coaching staff – Head Coach Becky Burleigh, Associate Head Coaches Vic Campbell and Alan Kirkup – with a 3-1 win over Georgia Southern on March 11. Burleigh announced in January that she would retire from coaching at the conclusion of the 2020-21 season.
 
Florida took a 2-0 lead into halftime off goals by Madison Alexander (16:53) and Tori Grambo (31:44). After a scoreless opening 41 minutes of the second half, both teams hit goals in the closing four minutes. Georgia Southern's Debra Ruiz scored at 86:50. Parker Roberts raised her team leading season goals total to five when her 25-yard strike hit the crossbar and kicked in in the 89^th minute.
 
It was Florida's 290^th home match in the program's 26-year history (230-44-16, 0.821) – all under Burleigh and Campbell who have coached the program since its debut season in 1995.

About Louisiana State:
The Tigers come into the match having gone 5-2-1 in their last eight contests dating back to the first round of the SEC Tournament in November. LSU has picked up wins against Alabama, No. 14 Ole Miss, Southern Miss, South Alabama and Southern in that stretch as well as a tie against SEC foe Auburn.
 
The only losses in the last eight matches came against No. 8 Texas A&M in the quarterfinals of the SEC Tournament by a tally of 1-0 and a 2-0 loss to Dallas Baptist last Friday in Baton Rouge. South Alabama is a 2021 NCAA tourney team as they won the Sun Belt Conference title in the fall.
