GAINESVILLE, Fla. – A pair of Gators – swimmer Kelly Fertel and gymnast Megan Skaggs – will attend the 2021 NCAA Career in Sports Forum. The multi-day leadership development event is set to take place virtually May 26-28.

Fertel received her Telecommunications degree earlier this month. Skaggs received her bachelor's degree in Advertising in August in 2020 and is currently pursuing her master's degree in Entrepreneurship. This experience will help prepare them for their future careers.
"I am grateful and honored to have been selected to participate in the NCAA Career forum," said Fertel. "I am excited to be able to get introduced to the top professionals within collegiate athletics. I am still not 100 percent set on what I want to do in the future but I know with what I have been through over the past few years, I want to be able to foster a relationship with student-athletes to help advocate for their mental health. I am excited to learn from the best."
