
McGee Caps Olympic Games for Florida Track and Field

TOKYO – Gators Great Cory McGee (USA) finished 12th in the women's 1,500 meters final Friday morning. Florida's record holder posted a time of 4:05.50 to close the games for Gators track and field crew.
Florida track and field finished in Tokyo with two Olympic medals. Grant Holloway (USA) captured silver in the 110-meter hurdles, while Taylor Manson (USA) won bronze as part of Team USA's 4x400 meters relays mixed team.
Florida's track and field program boasts 25 all-time Olympic medals, including eight golds.
Other notable performances during the games included Will Claye's (USA) fourth-place finish in the triple jump and Joseph Fahnbulleh's (Liberia) fifth-place finish in the 200 meters.
