GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Eight from Florida's 2021 Southeastern Conference title team earned Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) Scholastic All-America honors. The WCGA recognizes the academic accomplishments of collegiate gymnasts each season.
As a team, Florida recorded a cumulative GPA of 3.72 in fall 2020 and 3.54 in spring 2021.
Five on the list also earned 2021 WCGA All-America honors – Alyssa Baumann, Leah Clapper, Ellie Lazzari, Megan Skaggs and Trinity Thomas.
To qualify for the WCGA Scholastic All-America team, a gymnast must have a GPA of 3.50 for either the preceding academic year or have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or above at the nominating institution.
As a team, Florida recorded a cumulative GPA of 3.72 in fall 2020 and 3.54 in spring 2021.
