
Florida Women Ranked No. 1 in Latest Poll, Men Ranked No. 7

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida men's and women's track and field teams are both ranked in the top-six in the country following the second release of the USTFCCCA Ratings Index on Monday afternoon (Jan. 31).
The women take over the top spot in the country after breaking four school records and one NCAA record over the weekend. Grace Stark continued her outstanding start to the season after running a 7.12 in the semifinals of the 60m dash at the Bob Pollock Meet. That time broke the Florida school record by .05 seconds and made her the NCAA leader following this weekend's competition.
Jasmine Moore shattered the NCAA and School records in the triple jump on Saturday with a jump of 14.55m. Natricia Hooper moved into third in school history in the triple jump after setting a personal record and the Guyana national record with a jump of 14.10m.
The Florida women boast 16 marks that sit in the top-10 nationally, with 13 of those in the top-5. The Gators also have six marks that sit atop the SEC.
The Gator men jumped 12 spots to No. 7 after a strong weekend of competition. PJ Austin, Dedrick Vanover and Tyler Davis went 1-2-3 in the 60m dash finals at the Bob Pollock Meet.
Jacory Patterson and Ryan Willie finished first and second in the 400m with both of their marks inside the top-16 in the NCAA this season. The Florida men have eight marks that sit in the top-16 nationally including its NCAA-leading 4x400 relay team.
The Gators will get this weekend off before heading to the Tyson Invitational from Feb. 11-12 on the campus of the University of Arkansas.
