GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida softball's Charla Echols, Amanda Lorenz and Michelle Moultrie were named to the 2022 USA Softball Women's National Team (WNT) World Games roster. The trio was selected to the squad by the Women's National Team Selection Committee (WNTSC) after a four-day selection trials that was held earlier this week.
The 15-player roster, that includes Echols, Lorenz and Moultrie, along with three replacement athletes will compete in July at the 2022 World Games in Birmingham, Ala. The competition will serve as the 2022 World Baseball Softball Confederation's (WBSC) World Cup.
The Gators three selections to the main 15-player roster are also the most by any collegiate program in the country.
