ATHENS, Ga. – Florida's swimming and diving program split with the Georgia Bulldogs on Friday morning in Gabrielsen Natatorium.
The 11th-ranked women's team defeated the No. 15 Georgia Bulldogs 173.5-126.5, while the No. 3 men's program fell to the No. 7 Georgia Bulldogs 156.0-144.0.
The women claimed 10 first-place finishes on Friday morning, followed by seven on the men's side.
Women's 400 Medley Relay
Florida's relay quartet of
Talia Bates,
Nina Kucheran,
Olivia Peoples,
Ekaterina Nikonova finished second overall with a time of 3:36.49 to kick off the meet for the Gators.
Aris Runnels,
Tylor Mathieu,
Amanda Ray and
Micayla Cronk followed in fourth place with a time of 3:41.98, while the grouping of
Mary Kate Kelley,
Jessica Strong,
Allie Piccirillo and
Mabel Zavaros finished fifth, touching the wall in a time of 3:50.45.
Men's 400 Medley Relay
The Gator men started off the meet with a relay win in the 400 medley, with the quartet of
Adam Chaney,
Aleksas Savickas,
Eric Friese and
Alberto Mestre finishing with a time of 3:10.53. The grouping of
Cameron Abaqueta,
Julian Smith,
Mason Laur and
Macguire McDuff touched the wall second overall with a time of 3:16.06, while
Joaquin Gonzalez Pinero,
Dillon Hillis,
Billy Jones and
Dawson Joyce finished fourth with a combined swim of 3:20.90.
Women's 1000 Free
The Gators claimed spots 2-5 in the 1000 freestyle event, with
Anna Auld leading the way with a time of 9:47.29.
Hayden Miller (9:56.07),
Elise Bauer (9:57.89) and
Camille DeBoer (10:00.52) rounded out spots 3-5.
Men's 1000 Free
Brennan Gravley (9:05.69),
Tyler Watson (9:14.35),
Eric Brown (9:17.03) and
Trey Freeman (9:17.87) finished 3-6, respectively, in the men's 1000 freestyle race.
Women's 200 Free
Katie Mack led the Gators in the 200 free, finishing second overall with a time of 1:47.57.
Kathleen Golding (1:49.23) and
Hayden Miller packed the 3-4 punch, while
Micayla Cronk rounded out the event in eighth with a time of 1:52.57.
Men's 200 Free
Julian Smith (1:35.96) posted the second-place finish in the men's 200 free, followed closely behind by
Alfonso Mestre (1:36.51) and
Oskar Lindholm (1:36.84), who touched the wall third and fourth, respectively.
Jake Mitchell finished seventh with a time of 1:38.33.
Women's 100 Back
Talia Bates recorded a swim of 54.00 in the 100 back to claim second place, while
Aris Runnels and
Mary Kate Kelley finished fourth and sixth, with times of 54.97 and 55.63, respectively.
Men's 100 Back
The Gators finished 5-7 in the men's 100 back, with
Cameron Abaqueta leading the way for Florida with a swim of 49.34.
Billy Jones touched the wall in 50.35, followed by a swim of 52.09 by
Eric Brown.
Women's 100 Breaststroke
Nina Kucheran (1:01.48) and
Tylor Mathieu (1:02.48) finished second and third, respectively, in the 100 breaststroke, while
Olivia Peoples and
Jessica Strong touched the wall in sixth and seventh, with times of 1:04.44 and 1:05.21.
Men's 100 Breaststroke
Aleksas Savickas claimed the top spot in the men's 100 breaststroke, finishing with a time of 53.78.
Raphael Rached Windmuller (55.41) and
Dillon Hillis (55.99) finished third and fourth, while
Amro Al-Wir rounded out the Gator swimmers in eighth with a time of 57.44.
Women's 200 Fly
Amanda Ray led all swimmers in the women's 200 fly, touching the wall first with a time of 1:58.15.
Zoe Dixon followed closely behind in third with a swim of 1:59.95, while
Mabel Zavaros (2:00.13) and
Allie Piccirillo (2:00.94) finished fifth and sixth.
Men's 200 Fly
The Gators packed the 3-4 punch with
Joaquin Gonzalez Pinero and
Mason Laur swimming times of 1:46.30 and 1:47.97, respectively, while
Brennan Gravley finished sixth with a time of 1:49.61.
Women's 50 Free
Florida once again claimed the top spot in the women's 50 free, with
Katie Mack touching the wall in 22.62.
Ekaterina Nikonova finished third with a time of 22.78, while
Georgia Bates placed fifth after her swim of 23.90.
Men's 50 Free
The Gators claimed spots 2-4 with
Macguire McDuff (19.97),
Adam Chaney (20.01) and
Alberto Mestre (20.12).
Eric Friese rounded out the Florida swimmers in the event with a sixth-place finish and a time of 20.80.
Women's 3-meter Diving
Carina Lumia won the women's 3-meter springboard, claiming the top spot with a score of 297.30.
Casey Greenberg (268.80) and
Elettra Neroni (259.95) finished fourth and fifth, respectively.
Men's 1-meter Diving
Skip Donald and
Elisha Dees finished 1-2 for Florida in the men's 1-meter springboard event, finishing with scores of 340.43 and 320.93, respectively.
Women's 100 Free
Ekaterina Nikonova and
Katie Mack placed 1-2 in the women's 100 free, posting times of 49.14 and 49.41, respectively.
Micayla Cronk swam a 50.59 to touch the wall fifth overall, while
Georgia Bates finished eighth with a time of 52.11.
Men's 100 Free
The Gators claimed the two top spots in the men's 100 free, with
Julian Smith (43.65) winning the event and
Alberto Mestre (43.78) finishing second.
Macguire McDuff posted a fourth-place finish with his time of 44.79 and
Dawson Joyce (47.19) rounded out the event with an eighth-place finish.
Women's 200 Back
Zoe Dixon won the women's 200 back with a swim of 1:56.00, followed by
Mabel Zavaros' third-place finish (1:57.78).
Mary Kate Kelley recorded a swim of 1:59.33, good for fourth overall, while
Aris Runnels placed eighth with her time of 2:03.17.
Men's 200 Back
The Gator men finished 5-8 in the 200 back, with
Adam Chaney leading the Florida swimmers with a time of 1:47.37.
Mason Laur (1:48.51),
Joaquin Gonzalez Pinero (1:49.95) and
Cameron Abaqueta (1:51.97) rounded out the 6-8 places, respectively.
Women's 200 Breaststroke
Nina Kucheran (2:13.75) and
Tylor Mathieu (2:15.36) touched the wall in second and third place to lead the way for Florida in the 200 breaststroke.
Olivia Peoples notched a sixth-place finish with her time of 2:20.24, while
Jessica Strong's swim of 2:22.42 was good for seventh place.
Men's 200 Breaststroke
Aleksas Savickas and
Raphael Rached Windmuller finished first and second in the men's 200 breaststroke, recording swims of 1:57.08 and 2:00.64.
Oskar Lindholm (2:05.39) touched the wall sixth and
Amro Al-Wir rounded out the Gators in seventh with a time of 2:05.41.
Women's 500 Free
Hayden Miller claimed the top spot in the women's 500 free, finishing with a time of 4:43.56. She was followed closely behind by
Anna Auld, who claimed second place with her swim of 4:48.11.
Elise Bauer (4:54.34 | 6th) and
Camille DeBoer (4:58.85 | 8th) rounded out the Gators in the event.
Men's 500 Free
Alfonso Mestre led the way for Florida in the 500 free, placing second with a time of 4:19.62.
Jake Mitchell (4:30.26) and
Tyler Watson (4:30.81) finished fifth and sixth, respectively, for the Gators, while
Trey Freeman rounded out the group in eighth with a time of 4:34.18.
Women's 100 Fly
Talia Bates won the 100 fly for the Florida women, finishing with a time of 53.93.
Aris Runnels touched the wall third with her swim of 54.98, while
Amanda Ray (55.32) and
Georgia Bates (55.69) placed fifth and seventh, respectively.
Men's 100 Fly
The Gator men finished the 100 fly 5-7, with
Eric Friese touching the wall in 48.33 to claim fifth place.
Billy Jones' time of 48.98 was good for sixth place, while
Dillon Hillis swam a 49.88 to finish seventh.
Women's 1-meter Diving
Elettra Neroni and
Carina Lumia grabbed the top two spots on the 1-meter springboard, finishing with scores of 283.95 and 280.43.
Casey Greenberg rounded out the Gators with a 238.28 performance in the event.
Men's 3-meter Diving
Skip Donald won his second event of the day on the 3-meter springboard, registering a score of 362.85.
Elisha Dees finished fourth with a score of 312.68.
Women's 400 IM
Mabel Zavaros claimed the top spot in the final individual race of the meet, finishing with a time of 4:13.06.
Zoe Dixon touched the wall second with a swim of 4:15.73, while
Anna Auld (4:17.05) and
Kathleen Golding (4:18.13) finished fourth and fifth, respectively.
Men's 400 IM
Joaquin Gonzalez Pinero led the Florida swimmers in the 400 IM, touching the wall second with a time of 3:50.51.
Mason Laur (3:54.54),
Eric Brown (3:54.56) and
Brennan Gravley (3:55.99) finished 4-6.
Women's 200 Free Relay
