Florida Men and Women Ranked in Top-10 of Latest USTFCCCA Polls
Monday, February 7, 2022 | Track and Field
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – For the second-consecutive week, the Florida Women's Track and Field program is the No. 1 team in the nation as announced by the release of the USTFCCCA ratings index on Monday afternoon.
The Florida men's program checks into the top-10 as the ninth-ranked team in the country.
The Gators have eight SEC-leading individuals and one SEC-leading relay team between the men's and women's programs. Grace Stark (60 meters and 60-meter hurdles), Jasmine Moore (Triple Jump) and the Florida Men's 4x400 relay team remain NCAA leaders in their respective events heading into this weekend's action.
On top of the team success so far this year, a number of individuals have earned national recognition. Last week saw the release of The Bowerman Mid-Indoor Watch List. On the women's side, Stark and Moore were named to the Watch List while multi-eventer Anna Hall received votes. For the men, sprinter Joseph Fahnbulleh made the list while fellow sprinter Jacory Patterson received votes.
After having last weekend off, the Gators will be back in action Friday and Saturday with a split-squad weekend. Sprinters, jumpers and a selection of distance runners will head to the ultra-competitive Tyson Invitational on the campus of Arkansas. Another group of distance runners will make their way to Vanderbilt in search of success at the Music City Challenge.
This is the final regular season tune-up for the Gators before heading to the SEC Indoor Championships on the campus of Texas A&M from February 25-26.
