Gators Set to Host Iona in National Invitation Tournament

The Florida men's basketball team will host Iona in the first round of National Invitation Tournament action, it was announced on Sunday. The Gators enter the tournament as a No. 3 seed after posting a 19-13 regular season record, 9-9 in the Southeastern Conference.
The Iona Gaels bring a 25-7 overall record to Gainesville, winning the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference regular season title with a 17-3 conference mark.
This marks the Gators' 11th all-time appearance in the NIT and first since 2016.
Associate head coach Al Pinkins will serve as interim head coach for Florida.
General public tickets are on sale now, and additional locations may become available on March 14 at 6 p.m. following the conclusion of the season ticket priority window.
Tickets are free for UF students, and non-UF students can purchase upper level general admission tickets for $4 at the main ticket office windows near Gate 1.
Consistent with how student tickets worked for regular season games, a student pass will be loaded to all student ticket accounts. Students will access their pass by logging into their account via the Florida Gators App and saving the ticket to their phone.
Admittance for students will be on a first-come, first-served basis and limited to the first 2,300 students to scan their student pass at Gate 3. The first 650 students to scan in will receive a wristband for lower sideline seating in the designated student sections.
