The three-game series against the Aggies is set to stream via SEC Network+.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The fifth-ranked Florida softball team takes to the road for a three-game Southeastern Conference series against Texas A&M this Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Davis Diamond. The entire series is set to be streamed via SEC Network+.

The Gators (23-2) enter the weekend after the team won their first SEC series of the 2022 season over Mississippi State. The Orange & Blue won opening day 8-4, then fell in game two 1-0 but bounced back to claim the series with a 3-0 victory Monday night.

Offensively, the team is led by freshman Kendra Falby, fifth year senior Hannah Adams, senior Cheyenne Lindsey and redshirt junior Skylar Wallace. The talented group currently has 30 or more hits on the season each, which makes the Gators the only team in the nation with four players with that many hits.

In addition, senior Charla Echols currently ranks fifth nationally, and second in the SEC, in RBI with 29 and Wallace follows closely behind 28 on the year.

In the circle, Florida boasts a 1.48 ERA as a staff and is led currently by fifth year graduate Natalie Lugo (5-1). Lugo sports a 0.56 ERA over 37.1 innings pitched with 36 strikeouts compared to 14 walks and a .163 opposing batting average.

2021 NFCA All-American Elizabeth Hightower (6-0) is right behind Lugo with a 1.25 ERA over 39.1 innings with 34 strikeouts, 16 walks and a .157 opposing batting average, while freshman Lexie Delbrey (8-1) boasts the most innings (50.0) and wins (8).

The Aggies (16-8) enter the weekend after being swept on the road by then ranked No. 20 Auburn. Texas A&M fell 5-4 (8 innings), 4-3 and 8-5 over SEC Opening Weekend, but rebounded this past Tuesday with a 6-2 victory over Sam Houston.

Texas A&M sports a .303 team batting average and is led by Haley Lee, who currently is hitting .492 (32-of-65) with five doubles, five home runs, 18 walks and 21 RBI. The Aggies also have four additional batters hitting above .300 in the lineup.
