AUSTIN, Texas –
Anna Hall used big personal bests in the 100-meter hurdles, Shot Put and 200 meters to put up 3760 points through four events and take a decisive early lead in the Heptathlon competition at the 94
th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays on Wednesday afternoon.
Sterling Lester sits in fourth position after putting up 3405 points with strong efforts in the 100-meter hurdles, High Jump and 200 meters.
Asia Smith completed the 100-meter hurdles but was unable to finish the rest of the events.
Hall, the 2022 NCAA and SEC Indoor Champion in the Pentathlon, finished top-two in each of the events she contested on Wednesday afternoon. Her mark of 1.77m/5-9.75 in the High Jump is the seventh-best mark in Florida school history.
Both Lester and Hall will be back tomorrow as the Heptathlon wraps up. The duo will compete in the Long Jump and Javelin before running the 800 meters to finish up the event.
