Gators-Sun Devils Face Off for First Time in Program History

Opening draw is set for 2 p.m. ET in Tempe, Ariz.

TEMPE, Ariz. – The 11th-ranked Florida lacrosse team (5-4, 0-0 AAC) heads west to take on the Arizona State Sun Devils (4-4, 3-2 Pac 12) on Sunday. Opening draw is set for 2 p.m. ET and the game will be streamed on the ASU Live Stream site.

The Sun Devils are receiving votes in the latest IWLCA/ILWomen Top-25 poll.

No. 11 Florida at RV Arizona State Live Stream

The Gators and the Sun Devils are meeting for the first time in program history, with ASU only having begun their program in the 2018 campaign.

In its last contest, Florida toppled Stetson 19-5 at Donald R. Dizney Stadium, while Arizona State fell 17-10 to USC on Friday evening.

Scouting the Sun Devils
  • Arizona State currently sits at 4-4 in the 2022 campaign, with wins over San Diego State, Oregon, Colorado and Cal
  • The Gators and the Sun Devils have never faced off before, though they certainly have ties as ASU's assistant coach is Nicole Graziano who played for Florida from 2012-16. While here, she was a 2016 Tewaaraton Award Finalist and earned IWLCA All-America honors
  • Through the first eight games of the season, Emily Glagolev (20g, 20a), Carley Adams (18g, 9a), Taylor Pinzone (19g, 3a), Emily Munro (12g, 4a) and Katie Brodsky (6g, 10a) are leading the way offensively for the Sun Devils
  • Zoe Mazur, Kaylon Buckner, Pinzone and Lia WIllis are leading the way in the draw circle for Arizona State, posting 33, 24, 14 and 14 draws, respectively
  • On the defensive end, Bella Gaspar has caused 10 turnovers through eight games
  • Katie Vahle is seeing a majority of minutes in the cage for ASU, posting 58 saves with a .395 save percentage in her 415:49. She sits at 3-4 on the year. Flynn Murphy has recorded eight saves with a .381 save percentage and a 1-0 record in her four games played
