LYNCHBURG, Va. – For the first time in four games, the No. 12 Florida lacrosse team will not face an opponent in the IWLCA/ILWomen Top-25 poll, traveling to Lynchburg, Va. to take on the Liberty Flames Wednesday.
Opening draw is set for 12 p.m. at Liberty Lacrosse Field.

This is the second meeting between the two squads, with Florida holding the 1-0 series advantage. That game took place on April 28, 2021 in Gainesville, Fla. and the Gators were victorious 17-2.
Danielle Pavinelli is the leading returning scorer, having posted two goals in the victory.
In its last contest, Florida fell to then, No. 5 Stony Brook, 14-13, in a tightly-contested matchup, while Liberty is coming off an 18-5 win against Robert Morris.
Scouting the Flames
- Liberty sits 3-2 through five games in the 2022 campaign, picking up wins over Virginia Tech, Old Dominion and Robert Morris
- Through the first five games Mackenzie Lehman (16g, 4a), Jordan Baerga (14g, 2a), Brooke Bryan (9g, 5a), Cami Merkel (11g, 2a) and Mia Toscano (5g, 5a) are leading the way offensively
- Lehman, Lizzy Ferguson and Toscano are leading the way in the draw circle for Liberty, posting 22, 16 and 12 draws, respectively
- On the defensive end, Hannah Quast has recorded 11 caused turnovers in five games, followed by nine from Toscano and eight from Mikayla Coghill
- Jennifer Soriero is seeing the majority of minutes in the cage for the Flames, recording 24 saves with a .381 save percentage
