Summer Speaking Dates Announced For Golden, Finley

New Florida men's basketball head coach Todd Golden will make three stops around the state of Florida this summer, giving fans an opportunity to hear directly from Golden ahead of his first season at UF. In addition, women's basketball head coach Kelly Rae Finley will take part in the June 28 event in Miami. Kelly Rae Finley led Nina Rickards (15) and Co. to UF's first NCAA Tournament berth since 2016.
Announced as Florida's head coach on March 18, Golden comes to UF after leading San Francisco to its first NCAA Tournament appearance since 1998. His career path has taken him through the Ivy League, the Southeastern Conference and the West Coast Conference before returning to the SEC to lead the Gators.
Since coming to Florida, Golden has retained the core of Florida's roster, including All-SEC big man Colin Castleton. Florida has also added a quartet of incoming transfers and brought in a pair of in-state freshmen.
Finley led Florida women's basketball to an NCAA Tournament appearance in 2021-22 and was named the USA Today Sports Network SEC Coach of the Year. She was elevated from interim head coach to head coach on Feb. 28 and, on the heels of the stellar 2021-22 campaign, has brought in a talented trio in UF's 2022 transfer class.
