Black Gatorade Bottles, Towels Set to Debut Saturday at Gators Game

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida football team will not only wear black uniforms when they take on Arkansas Saturday during this year's 'Saluting Those Who Serve' game. The Gators' sideline will also for the first time feature black Gatorade bottles and black Gatorade towels.
Gatorade has strong ties with the University of Florida, dating back to the 1960s. The original sports drink was developed by scientists at the University of Florida to help the UF football team stay hydrated in swampy Florida heat.
The black Gatorade bottles and towels, along with the black uniforms will serve as a way of honoring first responders and the military community during this year's 'Saluting Those Who Serve' game.

The Nov. 4 matchup will mark the 13th meeting between Florida and Arkansas. The schools last met in 2020 when the Gators downed the Razorbacks 63-35 in the Swamp. UF leads the series 10-2.
