GLENDALE, Ariz. – Carlos Dunlap, La'Mical Perine, Kadarius Toney and Tommy Townsend are Super Bowl champions.
On the biggest stage, the stars shined brightest. And few stars shined brighter in Arizona Sunday than Chiefs' do-it-all weapon Kadarius Toney.
Toney finished with 82 total yards and a touchdown on just three touches. Everything the "Human Joystick" touched turned to gold.
Down six at the start of the fourth quarter, Kadarius Toney faked out the Eagles secondary with pre-snap movement, getting himself wide open for the go-ahead touchdown.
Nothing new for Toney, who's been scoring touchdowns like this since his Gator days.
The Chiefs had completed a 10-point comeback to take the lead, and it appeared Toney had made the biggest play of the game.
"Hold my Gatorade," said Toney before his next punt return.
65 yards. The longest punt return in Super Bowl history. The biggest play in the biggest game.
It was an absolutely legendary performance from Kadarius Toney.
But on the other side, Eagles star safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson has nothing to hang his head on. The fourth-year safety made huge hit after huge hit getting his team oh so close to a championship.
The NFL's 103rd season has come to a resounding conclusion as four Gators etched their name in Super Bowl lore. Just another great day to be a Florida Gator.
