The 2023 Reese’s Senior Bowl kicks off Saturday, Feb. 4 at 2:30 p.m. (ET) on NFL Network
MOBILE, Ala. – Florida offensive linemen O'Cyrus Torrence and Richard Gouraige are set to showcase their talents in the Reese's Senior Bowl on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. ET on NFL Network. The duo becomes the 113th and 114th Gators all-time to compete in the Senior Bowl.
The Reese's Senior Bowl is widely regarded as the preeminent college football all-star game, and is the longest continual-running all-star game, taking place in Mobile the past 73 years. More than 900 NFL personnel from all 32 teams and over 900 media members from across the country take in the game annually.
Torrence became the 34th consensus All-American in Gators history in his lone season with Florida. A native of Greensburg, La., Torrence is the first offensive guard in UF history to earn consensus All-American honors, and the fifth offensive lineman overall.
Starting in 11 games, Torrence was the top-rated guard in the nation with an 88 grade, according to Pro Football Focus. He didn't allow a sack or quarterback hit during his career, and didn't allow a hurry or commit a penalty in 698 snaps this season.
Gouraige, who was named to the Reese's Senior Bowl Watch List prior to the season, started in each of the last 41 games in which he was active. As a whole, the Gators' offensive line only allowed 17 sacks in 2022, the fourth-fewest in the SEC.
Dameon Pierce and Zach Carter participated in the 2022 Reese's Senior Bowl, both being drafted in the top four rounds. Since 2020, Florida has had 10 Gators compete in the Senior Bowl, with nine of them having their names called in the following draft.
The Reese's Senior Bowl is coming off consecutive record-breaking drafts with 106 players selected each of the past two years, which has represented over 40 percent of the entire past two draft classes. Over the past four drafts (2019-2022), 87.2% of the players wound up making an active 53-man NFL roster at some point during their rookie season.
Both Torrence and Gouraige are on the "American" roster, and will be coached by Atlanta Falcons quarterbacks coach Charles London.
